Mechanic(s) needed for Supertransport garage in Sint-Katelijne-Waver

 

• Mechanic for the general maintenance and depot maintenance of our fleet of trailers and vehicles.

• Mechanic specialised in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration units on our refrigerated trailers.

Job description

• Carry out maintenance work on trailers, hydraulic tailgates (also knowledge of electronics on tailgates).
• Technical preparation of trailers for technical inspection
• Refrigeration (minor interventions such as bleeding, starting, starter replacement)
• Knowledge of tyres (air suspension, air brakes)
• Work on tractors and tared vehicles
• Performing independent roadside repairs with a company van (B driving licence)
• Solving technical problems with tractors and trailers on the road.

Specifically for refrigeration engineers

• Refrigeration units (complete maintenance and repairs)

Specific for night mechanics

• Be ready to intervene during working hours to carry out repairs on the road and on site independently with the company's van (tractor and trailer repairs).
• During the holidays: start working in the evening.
• Under normal circumstances, there are always two night mechanics working at the same time.

Flexibility

We work 24 hours a day. We are therefore looking for people who are prepared to work in different shifts (e.g. for holidays, illness of colleagues, busier periods).

Shift working hours (39 hours per week)

On-call hours at the beginning of the day

• Mon-Sun: 04:30-13:00
• Friday: 04:30 to 12:00

Daily shift schedule

• Mon-Sun: 07:00-08:30 to 15:30-17:00
• Friday: 07:00-08:30 to 14:30-16:00

Day shift schedule

• Mon-Sun: 11:30am to 8pm
• Friday: 11.30am to 7pm

Night service hours

• Mon-Sun: 20:00 - 04:30
• Friday: 19:00 - 02:30

Remuneration

• Our mechanics are paid according to the scales of the joint committee 140.03 Transport and Logistics.
• The hourly rate depends on the candidate's experience and/or diploma (and therefore his CV) to determine the scale.
• Additional compensation for night work: 12.5% additional hourly pay per hour worked between 20:00 and 06:00
• Additional compensation for early and late shifts: 1 extra hour per day
• Meal vouchers and social contract depending on the number of kilometres travelled between home and work
