Objective of the position

The Site Manager of the Jost Bierset site has operational and functional responsibility for the site in its daily management.

Main responsibilities

Site management

  • Maintenance and cleanliness

  • Waste monitoring

  • Vehicle parking

  • Monitoring and control of the fuel station

  • Truck Wash management

Mobile cash terminal management

  • Monitoring coil transfers

  • Monitoring repairs and maintenance of lifting equipment

  • Control of mobile cash terminals

Warehouse management

  • Ensuring proper functioning

  • Monitoring stock management

  • Advising warehouse staff on equipment specific to chemistry

  • Approval of purchase invoices

Personnel management

  • Supervising and following up with teams

ADR management

  • Advising planners and sales staff according to the products to be transported

  • Responding to and assisting the quality service regarding ADR incidents at customers

  • Advising on the purchase of tanks, silos, compressors, and hydraulic pumps

  • Annual follow-up of ADR-related validity

  • Ensuring compliance of ADR vehicles with legislation and its updates

  • Monitoring sealing of bitumen tanks at the end of the season

Workshop management

  • Assisting workshop managers

  • Controlling the proper execution of work orders

  • Monitoring and controlling ebonite tanks and dielectric tests

  • Monitoring and ordering garage tools

  • Monitoring external repairs of chemical tanks

  • Prioritizing repairs according to planning needs

Required skills

  • Knowledge in heavy vehicle mechanics and bodywork (required)

  • Knowledge of ADR

  • Chemical knowledge

  • Organizational skills, rigor, and method

  • Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Proficiency in IT tools (office software, fleet management software)

Language skills

  • French: C2 level

  • English and Dutch: B1 level

Personal qualities

  • Serious, persevering, organized, autonomous, curious, precise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • ADR advisor, classes 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9

  • Significant experience in a similar position, ideally in the goods transport sector

Location

  • Preferably living within a 30 km radius of Bierset
