Job duties and responsibilities

The primary mission of the Technical Manager is to ensure the sustainability of the rolling stock for the entire Jost group.
Your tasks are as follows:
 

• Manage and coordinate all of the group’s heavy-duty vehicle workshops, totaling about ten garages across Belgium.
• Coordinate and direct the actions of the various garages to optimize expenses.
• Ensure work quality, improve productivity with a "LEAN" orientation by fostering synergies.
• Implement necessary corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Ensure compliance with procedures related to the repair and maintenance of motorized or towed vehicles.
• Control the quality of services and maintain operating costs.
• Manage audits and safety in collaboration with the Safety Advisor & Auditor.
• Establish guarantees with suppliers and act as the main intermediary with manufacturers.
• Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and quality of workshops and the breakdown service.
• Ensure that the fleet complies with legislation, is well-maintained, and guarantees road safety.
• Conduct necessary recruitments in collaboration with the Human Resources department.
• Develop the TCO and manage the various garages like an SME in collaboration with the Financial Manager.
• Analyze KPIs with the CEO.

Profile:
 

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Several years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in French and Dutch
• Good stress resistance, natural leadership qualities
• Strategic with a synthetic and analytical mindset
• Rigorous and flexible, oriented towards "continuous improvement" and LEAN

Offer:

Permanent full-time contract, 5 days/week (37 hours/week)
