Building Bridges Through Logistics: An Inspiring European Exchange at JOST

In today's interconnected world, vocational education and training thrive on cooperation, dialogue and the sharing of expertise beyond national borders. Logistics, by its very nature, is an international sector, constantly evolving to meet new economic, technological and societal challenges. It was therefore a great pleasure for JOST to welcome a group of Italian trainers as part of a study visit funded by the Piemonte Region.

More than a simple discovery tour, this visit became a genuine opportunity for exchange and mutual learning. Throughout their stay, participants explored our logistics facilities, training environments and educational methodologies while engaging in meaningful discussions with our teams. These conversations quickly went beyond operational practices and focused on a broader question: how can vocational training continue to equip learners with the skills needed in a rapidly changing labour market?

As experiences and perspectives were shared, common challenges emerged. Whether in Belgium, Italy or elsewhere in Europe, training providers are faced with similar ambitions: preparing future professionals, supporting lifelong learning and ensuring that education remains closely aligned with industry needs. The diversity of backgrounds represented during the visit enriched every discussion, creating a dynamic environment where ideas could circulate freely and inspire new approaches.

In the accompanying video, a trainer from ENAIP International reflects on his experience at JOST and highlights the importance of international cooperation in vocational education and training. Such initiatives not only foster the exchange of best practices but also strengthen partnerships between organisations committed to developing talent and supporting innovation within the logistics sector.

At JOST, we firmly believe that collaboration across Europe is a powerful driver of progress. By creating opportunities for professionals to meet, learn from one another and discover different perspectives, we contribute to a stronger and more connected vocational training ecosystem. These exchanges remind us that innovation often begins with dialogue and that shared knowledge is one of the most valuable resources we can cultivate.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all participants for their enthusiasm, openness and valuable contributions throughout the visit. Together, we continue to build bridges between people, organisations and countries, strengthening the skills that will shape the future of logistics across Europe.
