At JOST, our success is first and foremost built on the women and men who have helped shape the company and who continue to support its development every day. Through our Our Leaders series, we invite you to discover the people who, through their expertise, commitment and vision, contribute to the evolution of the group.

For this seventh episode, we meet André Wansart, Chief IT & Invoicing Officer. Having been with JOST for nearly thirty years, André has supported the company through all the major stages of its growth and the many technological transformations that have shaped its evolution.

A Career Closely Linked to JOST’s Growth

Originally from Waimes and a proud family man, André Wansart joined JOST in 1995 as IT Manager. At that time, the company operated a fleet of around 70 trucks. Today, the group has nearly 2,000 vehicles, perfectly illustrating the scale of its development over the past decades.

Throughout these years, André has played a key role in building and developing the company’s IT environment. From infrastructure and business software to cybersecurity and team support, he has helped implement the tools needed to sustain the group’s continuous growth.

IT Serving Performance

As Chief IT & Invoicing Officer, André now oversees all of JOST’s IT activities.

Leading a team of fourteen professionals made up of developers, infrastructure specialists and cybersecurity experts, he ensures that the company’s systems remain reliable, high-performing and aligned with the needs of a constantly evolving business.

For André, technology is not just about tools and software. Behind every IT solution are users, operational requirements and real-world business challenges that must be fully understood.

This human-centred approach is one of the pillars of both his management style and his vision of information technology.

A Dual Strategic Responsibility

Alongside his IT responsibilities, André also manages invoicing for the company’s key accounts.

This role requires a high level of accuracy, a deep understanding of customer-specific requirements and a comprehensive view of operations. It also enables him to stay closely connected to operational realities and customer expectations.

Another major aspect of his role is the IT integration of the group’s new acquisitions, a strategic project that will continue to play an important role in the years ahead.

A Passion for a Dynamic Industry

What André particularly enjoys about transport and logistics is the dynamic and practical nature of the sector.

Every day brings new challenges, unexpected situations and solutions that must be found quickly. This environment demands responsiveness, rigour and strong coordination between teams.

He also appreciates the fact that logistics lies at the heart of the real economy. Behind every delivery are customer commitments, complex operations and dedicated teams working together to ensure high-quality service.

A Collective Achievement

When asked about his greatest accomplishment, André does not mention a specific project.

For him, the greatest satisfaction remains the overall development of JOST.

Having supported the company’s transformation from a fleet of 70 vehicles into an international group operating nearly 2,000 trucks is a tremendous source of pride.

However, he emphasises one essential point: this success is, above all, a collective achievement.

According to André, the group’s growth is the result of the hard work, commitment and professionalism of all the teams that have contributed to its development over the years.

Artificial Intelligence: A Major Challenge for the Future

Looking ahead, André clearly identifies the integration of artificial intelligence as one of the sector’s key challenges.

Transport and logistics activities now generate vast amounts of data. AI offers significant opportunities, including flow optimisation, improved planning, automation of administrative tasks, decision support, real-time monitoring and enhanced security.

However, the real challenge will not be purely technological.

For André, it will be essential to integrate these new technologies intelligently while preserving what makes JOST strong: business expertise, responsiveness and customer focus.

A Career at the Heart of JOST’s Evolution

Since joining JOST in 1995, André Wansart has been both a privileged witness and a major contributor to the company’s evolution. From fleet expansion to the many technological transformations experienced by the group, he has helped build an IT environment capable of supporting the company’s growth year after year.

Today, while continuing to address the challenges linked to digitalisation and innovation, André remains driven by the same ambition: using technology to support JOST’s teams, customers and continued development.

Thank you to André for sharing his journey and vision in this new episode of Our Leaders.
