Multimodal transport: a key strategy for JOST
At JOST, multimodal transport is more than just a mode of transport: it’s a true lever for performance and sustainability. Thanks to the expertise of Victor, who has been overseeing our rail and airport operations for 4 years, we optimize the flow of goods via rail (train), road, and sea, ensuring efficient deliveries within a 200 km radius of our terminals.
An economic and eco-friendly solution
Rail transport plays a key role in our environmental and economic commitment. By reducing CO₂ emissions, it offers a sustainable alternative while allowing cost savings through bulk shipments. With 6 trains per week between Belgium and Italy, we eliminate the equivalent of 36 trucks and 36,000 km traveled every day.
Flexible and adaptive logistics
Although rail transport may face certain uncertainties (strikes, delays), our ability to adapt quickly allows us to ensure punctual deliveries and optimize our operational efficiency.
At JOST, we don’t just move goods, we are building a greener and more responsible logistics future.
